Morning Meditation Message 21

It is okay to be on the verge of tears, in a place not fit for them. Not many places in our world are dedicated to crying, so you must take the spaces as they arrive. Knowing that anyone who judges your emotional out pour, is holding a secret tear too. People will be mad at you for not helping them uphold their illusion of keeping it together. Compassion is contagious. Some see your tear, and remember that they too need to cry, and in that particular moment, they may not want to remember, they may not want to embrace the collective wound. Now here you come, all heart on your sleeve like. Your nakedness makes people uncomfortable. It is okay to make people uncomfortable. It doesn’t take much. Did you get into how crowded this place is yet? We were bound to bump into your tears sooner or later. Every drop is perfect. And I know you know, just like I know, tears do dry, wounds do heal, and life – though it never ended – somehow begins again. Have a perfect day. Remember that it is your perspective that makes it so. Aho!

Morning Meditation Message 20

Learn to say no, politely if you must. It doesn’t have to be shouted filled with conflicting feelings of pain and discomfort birthed from a desire to endlessly please that which is killing you. Not everything offered freely is for you. Learn to say no. No to the self judgement, no to the abusive relationship, no to the abusive job out of alignment with your true purpose, no to the harboring of unresolved feelings in the heart, no to the mean things you say to yourself in your mind. A wise soul once told me “Kevon, No, is a complete sentence.” Sometimes we want to explain and justify our reasoning to the one who doesn’t understand our refusal of whatever it is, saying no and repeating it with calm in your eyes can easily get your point across. If something is unhealthy for your being, why do you think you need more words than “no” to end it? Sometimes the first thing to let go of is the unneccessary use of words in situations that are best handled in silence. If no does not work, say it while walking away. Let the decision to honor your most beautiful self be so strong, that it moves your feet into the possibility of your dream. You have said yes to so much crap that makes your spirit ill. Feed your purpose clarity, by learning to say no.

To My Keepers

Gate Keeper
Wisdom Keeper
Keeper of the key of words
How you open a chord, tuning
As forks that vibrate together
Familiar sadness, familiar joy, unlocked.
You are an opener of worlds
Gate Keeper
Wisdom Keeper
Keeper of the way of words
And how they sway to say the same thing
Thing same the say to sway they how and
Even in reverse
The clear is made message
Or is the message made clear
Or is it both?
The hummingbird
That flies backwards
The sunlight stings
Failed suicide eye
Wing of dusted moth
Flame of your soul
You are worthy of remembering
Gate Keeper
Wisdom Keeper
Keeper of the Key of words
This one is for you
When you wake in the morning
Flooded by the sadness
Of a drowned world
When you remember
That the salt in the water
Is really the tears of our children
As we lay on the sand
It dries on our skin
Summer isn’t the only season
Some wounds are like winter
Frozen hearts
Tears that fall as snowflakes
How many times do you have to hear it?
Your beauty is beyond adjectives
Gate Keeper
Wisdom Keeper
Do you remember who you are?
Fire in your soul
Repetition, unravels
The thread of forgetting
You are made to melt things
You are made to thaw
To make minds feel like spring
Keeper of the way of words
Stop playing with your time here
Clean your glasses
Cleanse the lens of your heart
See yourself clearly
Orchid Butterfly
Maker of nectar
We taste with our ears
Can’t spit out what was fed
Careful the words you say to yourself
When no one is watching
I can hear you not believing in you
I can feel you not believing in you
The madness of the world
Is you Not believing in You
That secret whispering dream
That you think is going to fail
Is Asking for you to Believe in it Fully
Wisdom Keeper
Gate Keeper
Keeper of the way of words
Awaken.

Morning Meditation Message 17

Contemplate your cosmic origin. The you before the body of human. All around is the evidence of return. Like an inhale and an exhale, our bodies are filled with life and are emptied. You are the life force, not the body. Like the trunk of a fallen tree that becomes the soil, so too will we disperse and give way to other expressions of life after our time here. Light is the soil of the soul, life is both an exploration of expansion and a return trip. Use your time here – in that beautiful specific incarnation that you are – well. It took billions of years to make you, and to leave within the fabric of your creation the freedom for you to be absolutely ridiculous. What do I mean? Well, ridiculous in the sense that sometimes you believe that your imperfections are greater than the infinite wisdom coded into – not only your soul as geometric manifestations of light – but also in the genetic codes of your body; the history of your people. Contemplate your cosmic origin, you are an exquisite being that chose to forget why you came here, so that you may feel the beauty of remembering. You wanted a break from the infinite wisdom of the soul, and a taste of new undiscovered experience. Have you had your fill of forgetting yet? I know I have! Stop judging what you see in the mirror, you are a miracle still in expansion, a miracle that not one of us can truly comprehend or put into words. Enter the doors of your hearts calling, and let gratitude carry you beyond the illusion of your limitations.

Help

Too afraid to need people, too afraid to love
Too afraid to need people, too afraid to hug
Too afraid to be the one on receiving end
Too afraid to be the one, truly a friend

So, we disguise how we need people
With clever little games
Do this and do that for me now
Confusing all the names

Who is it that is owed, if everything is one
Who made the palms of hands
Perhaps that which made the drums
You are harmony made of rhythm
Pretending you don’t need music
So, alone in silence you sit and sulk
Just about to lose it

Blaming all the world
For every problem you face
Still, my compassion remains infinite
A divine gift of grace
I didn’t come to harm you
I only came to care
Now you send those broken wounds
Launched through silent air

How is it that you think
The energy was missed
I know you need me too
For you, a silent  kiss
Blown from hand
In the realm of thought
where all things begin
The reason why you lose
Too focused on the win
The sideways secret game
To get more than you give
Taking food from another
Expecting them to live

You don’t see the pain you cause
Only what’s done to you
How can you let anyone in
With a barbed wire point of view

Too afraid to need people, too afraid to love
Too afraid to need people, too afraid to hug
Too afraid to be the one on receiving end
Too afraid to be the one, truly a friend

Morning Meditation Message 16

We’ve forgotten how to be on top of one another, which was once an integral part of our survival as a species. We migrated with little room for sleep, everything we owned on our backs, and now we can’t even sit on the crowded train together. We have lost our way, traveled miles away from the truth. What is the truth? The fact that we need each other. The fact that you choose lonely and really want love is masochistic. Stop killing yourself. Love calls all the missing pieces, reminding each that it is important. The language is love, light, and sound. It is what you feel, what you see, and what you hear. A little noise is not going to hurt you, and a little touch is not going to hurt you. When was the last time you abruptly bumped into yourself and wanted to be with you – that sweet frightening beauty that you are? It is time to remember that you are one with it all. Stop being annoyed by the small things in the mess you have created of your own life. It is okay, we have all made a mess of our lives, and the planet. Together we remember, together we take action. Step one is to remember by waking up, step two is to clean, step three is to ask for help. Change the order if you must. The formula is non-linear. This is all happening too fast to cry. Too fast to cry. Too fast to cry.

Morning Meditation Message 15

You start by taking your breathing into the bottom of your belly, letting it round, and then allowing the air to tip toe out of its own accord, no force from you. Then you close your eyes and try to savor the ease of each breath; allowing yourself to notice the lesson of letting go happening over and over again. We have been taught to compete and work extra hard for everything, but approaching meditation like that impedes progress. You don’t have to race to yourself, and you certainly don’t have to race to peace. Remember that it is already there, hiding underneath, not even hiding – perhaps waiting is a better word. Learn from your breathing, you don’t have to cling to things to feel complete. In the same way that you let go of each breath with the full trust that another is on the way, let that be an example for your life. Having almost drowned twice I have a sincere appreciation for the air that I can always call upon. You are afraid to die because you love being here, problems and all. Embrace the fact that you love life and all its richness. The roller coaster of experience and the wide-eyed stories you tell, you love it all. Isn’t it true that even the tears feel good when they have been cried? Such sweet emotional release woven into it all. That deep feeling of gratitude for life and air, though taught in a traumatic moment, was a gift to me. Life is a gift to you, and to us all. Enjoy this beautiful day!

Morning Meditation Message 12

You have to take responsibility for the loneliness you feel by deciding to get over the fear of rejection – the fear of what other people might think about who you are. It is a fear that dissolves with action. What is the action? Even as your heart quivers and your mind races with reasons to honor your self-defense mechanisms, you must push through and reach out to connect. There are people your heart is calling you to meet, to be around, to grow with and learn from, recognize that and act from that space. Remember that your life in this body is extremely short, so don’t waste your time with the almost of anything. Don’t sit there and imagine so much that you almost know what it’s like to have an experience, no – go forth and have that experience and grow from it. Don’t settle for imagining what its like to be with a group you want to be around. Get up, and go be around them, or him, or her and shake off the shackles of loneliness that you feel. Loneliness is an illusion created by a complex mind that has forgotten the interbeingness of all things. Truly, we are never alone, even the air knows your there. Have a great day!

Morning Meditation Message 10

You think it is on your time, but it is on its own time. You think its responding to your words, but even your voice is a fruit on its tree. What is it that you own? The final taker reminds you that even bodies are borrowed. Knowing this, where is the rush? Where is the hour? Gone so quick. My friend, there is no such thing as rush hour. Can you see between these words? Find a space between what society told you is happening, and what you actually observe from your state of centered awareness. What is more real than the labels we have put on things, is our idea of such things and how we use our thoughts to take action, however unclear. Believing in rush hour makes you rush angrily to your destination, but it is not the hour that causes frustration, nor is it the people. On some level you recognize the absurdity of it all, and you don’t see a way out of the collective madness we’ve sewn. Thousands of people racing to jobs many of them hate, just to eat and survive. Madness where groups of people are packed so tight that they almost squeeze through each other, and yet still they fight even harder to not see each other and how alike their struggles actually are. What a comedy, I can smell your shampoo, but nope I can’t see you. It is clear to see the ridiculousness of our idea of separation and how it manifests in such moments. Will you take five minutes before starting the “rush” of the day to get clear, or is the race to the race more worthy of your attention? If you chose to run, why then complain that the feet tire? Tired feet are a part of such a race, and so is a tired mind. Try it a little differently in your heart today. Step into the present moment and see a soul inside a stranger, and feel as your sense of time slows down. You may not be able to change the collective idea of rush hour, but you can change your internal response to it as you step lively into the gift of this day.

Private and group sessions in meditation are available, looking forward to hearing from you.

Morning Meditation Message 2

Return to the dance. You look up at the sky and you say “stars,” “moon,” “sun,” but do you ever say choreography? Dance is all around you, as is the music, that plays in the heart when you see something beautiful. Indeed, you too, are as beautiful as the mystery you observe. Each country, group of people, or tribe, has its dance. Perhaps you have forgotten some of yours by coming to america, or by being so many generations removed for a reason it hurts to talk about. Let go of the reason, and rekindle that part of you. We live in an age of profound connection, an electrical wireless group mind. To say it simply, do a search on youtube, and find your culture’s dance. Play the music, feel the forgotten part of your genetics stir with rhythmic remembrance of your people from long ago. Feel the remembrance of the power of dance, and how it carries the soul through difficult passages, and even calls down the rain. Don’t worry about getting the steps wrong, or feeling silly, close that door, and dance. The drum beat is in your blood. When you return to the dance of you, you return to the dance of all that is. Enjoy this beautiful day, it was made for you.
